~5-year-old cowboy corgi, in foster
March 12, 2022: Welcome Apollo!
Please put your paws together for SECR’s newest newbie, Apollo!
Apollo is a 5-year-old cowboy corgi that we rescued as a shelter pull, where he was surrendered by a good samaritan who found him as a stray. We’ve gotten Apollo caught up on some much needed veterinary care, including a neuter, dental cleaning, and treatment for intestinal worms – a common condition among strays that may have spent a lot of time outdoors. We’ve also gotten Apollo up to date on monthly heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. He is settling in to his new foster home this weekend with some help from his older and wiser corgi foster brother, Pippin. We’ll be working with him to ensure he gets the training and socialization he needs, focusing first on ensuring that he grows comfortable with being an indoor dog with a family.
Welcome to SECR, Apollo. We are so happy to have you with us!
