December 2020 Adoption Update

SECR is re-opening on an extremely limited basis to place dogs that are currently ready for adoption and are awaiting transfer to families in close proximity to their foster homes.

If you are interested in adopting from us, you can begin by submitting an adoption applications. We will reach out to individual applicants when dogs that may be a good fit become available.

As a reminder, SECR does not make any foster or adoption placement decisions on a first-come, first-served basis. Rather, we make decisions on a case-by-case basis for each rescue to ensure he or she is matched with families that provide the best overall fit.

Due to COVID-19, SECR will continue to monitor infection and hospitalization rates throughout the Carolinas and Georgia and prioritizes the safety of all our fosters, adopters, and volunteers when making any placement decisions.

We hope to be able to fully resume operations soon and will let you know as soon as we do. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience as we continue to do everything possible to stay safe and healthy.

Thank you for your patience and your support.
