** All applicants must be 21 or older and live within the Carolinas or Georgia. Submitting an adoption application is the first step in the process to adopt ANY SECR rescue dog, but submitting an application does not guarantee placement. SECR’s primary commitment is to the rescue dogs in our care, and it is our mission to find the right home for every dog, not the right dog for every home. Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis to find the best fit for each available rescue dog, and our admin team will follow up with qualified applicants after applications are fully processed.

It’s National Rescue Dog Day, and boy have we been busy welcoming several to our ever-expanding SECR family!
Say hello to Bella. This beautiful senior mix came to us after her owner’s passing, looking for a new home with an understanding, loving family. We’re so happy to have her with us and thankful for our fosters who are willing to take a chance on a girl who’s been through so much.
As Bella gets settled in we’ll be focus on helping her shed some pounds to reach a healthy weight and manage issues with arthritis and displaysia. Bella’s story is an example of what it truly means to rescue and we’re glad we could introduce her to you on this day!
