For Valentines day, we are introducing Cooper.
This sweet boy has a heart on his head (just like Aloka the peace dog). Cooper came into rescue because his family was moving and unable to take him with them. His foster says that he is incredibly sweet, and doing well with her dogs.
Sadly, he is behind on his healthcare. His teeth are terrible, and he is not yet neutered. He also needs to lose some weight. His most urgent health issue, though, is that he is heartworm positive with +microfilariae, so he’s getting started on treatment for that.
We’ll be consulting a veterinary cardiologist to help determine optimal timing for his dental and neuter in the setting of heartworm disease. He’s got a long road ahead of him, but we’re hopeful that this gorgeous boy still has his best years to look forward too!
