Zip

~ 2 years old, in foster

Zip first arrived in foster care a little unsure, but also curious and sweet.

Since then, we’ve been taking things slowly and allowing him time to decompress and adjust to his new surroundings. Zip was recently adopted from a shelter. His new mom did her research and provided him with the exercise and attention he needed.

Unfortunately, although he was fine with the teen daughter, he was stressed by and afraid of the younger son in the house and was aggressive to him. His new mom realized that he would be happier in a different situation. We placed him with a foster with no children, and he is doing well so far. He does have some fears that his foster parents are working on. We will update as we learn more about him.

Like many rescue dogs, Zip may have experienced instability or hardship before finally finding safety, and we are committed to helping him continue building confidence and trust. So far, we are already seeing encouraging progress as he settles into foster care. 💛 As a reminder, Zip is NOT available for adoption yet while we continue evaluating his needs and ideal home.
