Cheyenne

~8-10, forever foster

Cheyenne needs our help. Please help us help her.

Cheyenne recently came into rescue after living with someone who was unhoused. We believe she was loved, but she needed more medical care than her person could provide. Now she is safe with our foster, and we are doing everything we can for her. She is adored by her foster family.

We knew Cheyenne had medical needs, but her latest update was much harder than we expected. Both of her upper canine teeth are cracked and need to be removed. She is not spayed. And we are so sad to report that she has not one, but two malignancies.

The growth above her eye came back as malignant melanoma. And a growth on her shoulder is a cutaneous hemangiosarcoma. We’re not sure if either can be completely excised. Cheyenne will need more testing to understand whether these cancers have spread. We need your help to get her the diagnostics and treatments she needs and help her live her best life, for however long that might be.

It is a lot for one little dog. But Cheyenne does not know any of this. She just knows she is safe, fed, warm, and very much loved.

Cheyenne is also not the only dog counting on us. We currently have more than 20 dogs in foster care, including forever fosters with ongoing medical needs. Some need surgery, some need medications, some need special care, and all of them deserve comfort and safety.

Please donate to our veterinary expenses by clicking the donate button if you can, and please share Cheyenne’s story. Your support helps Cheyenne and the many other corgis in our care who still need us.
