**All applicants must be 21 or older and live within the Carolinas or Georgia. Submitting an adoption application is the first step in the process to adopt ANY SECR rescue dog. SECR’s primary commitment is to the rescue dogs in our care, and it is our mission to find the right home for every dog, not the right dog for every home. Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis to find the best fit for each available rescue dog, and our admin team will follow up with qualified applicants after applications are fully processed.

Sweet Fozzy came into rescue in June and is on the market for a new foster family. Can you give him what he’s looking for? We want to hear from you if…
- You don’t have other pets in your home (no exceptions)
- You don’t mind giving a dog medication
- You can stay on top of a dog’s need for a healthy diet and exercise
- You can devote time to training and socializing a dog that didn’t get much of either previously
Fozzy was surrendered to us for fighting with other dogs in his last home, so he absolutely needs to be the king of his castle in his next one. He’s also recovering from a respiratory illness so may need some ongoing prescription medication as he gets healthy and still needs help shedding some pounds on a healthy diet. Fozzy is a sweet boy with a lot of love to give, but he needs a family with a lot of patience and understanding to get to where he needs to be. He had very little interaction with people in his previous home so he still has a lot to learn about how to be a dog with people in his corner.

June 17, 2023: Welcome, Fozzy!
You don’t need muppets if you have corgis! Please help us welcome one of our newest additions to SECR, Fozzy!
Fozzy joins us as an owner surrender after fighting with other dogs in his household. He needs to be the only dog in his home to thrive, and we’re looking forward to see that happen for him in his new foster home. Fozzy has spent a lot of time living outdoors, so we’ll be getting him caught up on routine healthcare as well as heartworm testing and prevention, and then focus on the training and socialization he needs to get reacquainted with living indoors. Fozzy is also a big corgi in need of some weight loss, so his fosters will be working to get him on a healthier diet and exercise plan.
We’ll share more about Fozzy as we learn more about him, but for now are happy to have this down-eared cutie safely with us. Welcome to SECR, Fozzy!
