June 2, 2023: Tyler is looking for his forever home!

Tyler is kicking off the weekend with a special announcement – he’s officially taking applications for his forever home!

Please check out Tyler’s adoption flyer and see if you have what it takes to be his family, get information about our adoption requirements and the adoption process here on our website, and then submit an application! As with all SECR rescue dogs, Tyler’s placement decision will be made based on the best fit for his individual needs.

February 7, 2023: Welcome Tyler!

Please join us in welcoming the newest addition to the SECR family, Tyler!

Tyler joins us as an owner surrender due children’s allergies in his previous home. He also has difficulty sharing space and resources with other dogs, so needs to be in an only-dog home to be the best corgi he can be. We look forward to getting to know Tyler and helping him get settled in his new foster home and will begin working on training and socialization soon. First on the to-do-list, however, is getting Tyler caught up on routine veterinary care. An initial visit with our vet confirmed that Tyler is healthy and heartworm free, but there is a neuter in his near future. At the same time, Tyler will also need a medical procedure to remove a benign growth from the back of his neck, currently infected and causing some discomfort.

We’ll share more abut Tyler’s progress as we learn more about him, but for now are happy to have him with us and provide the home environment he needs to thrive. We can tell by his smile and very expressive eyes that he’s happy, too!

Welcome to SECR, Tyler!
