Derby and Banks have their forever home!
“The Southern Brothers.” These bonded bros have been together since birth, and really look out for each other. Sadly, their mom was unable to care for them due to her own health issues. They are adorable and wonderful with people, including older kids, and cats, but do not do well with other dogs. If you have no other dogs and are willing to give them some love and a safe place, please let us know. Fosters get first choice to adopt them. You must live in NC, SC, or GA. Thank you!
These boys soak up attention like a sponge and are always ready for a pet or a snuggle session. Banks, the larger of the two is constantly on the look out for his brother, Derby, the one with the floppy ears. Well loved, these two ended up being surrendered to rescue when their previous owner was no longer able to keep up with the expenses of caring for them. They have some treatable medical issues – like skin infections, flea infestation and lipomas, that we are taking care of. We are also running blood work, checking teeth and making sure their overall health is good. Banks just had a large lipoma removed (see photos,) and we are currently awaiting pathology results. As we get to know these two gentlemen, we will be posting more updates.
