Bailey

5 yr old ~ Female Corgi Mix ~ Adopted by Foster

UPDATE OCTOBER 6, 2020:

Bailey Adoption Announcement

Miss Bailey has been part of the SECR family for nearly a year, joining us last November, and today we’re happy to announce her official change of status from foster to adoptee!

Bailey came to SECR last year after her former owner’s medical issues prevented her from receiving the care and attention she needed, and we were lucky enough to place her with a foster that bonded with her quickly. Bailey got the help she needed to address issues with leash reactivity and fear of other dogs and learned that playtime with squeaky toys and sunbathing are two of her favorite things. She’s also a beachcomber who loves her time in the sand. After all they’ve experienced together, Bailey and her humans were all in agreement that she’s there to stay.

Congratulations, Bailey! We wish you and your family a long and happy forever!

If you ask Bailey, Sundays are for sunbathing. She’s great at scoping out the best place to catch some rays!

EARLIER UPDATES

Update NOVEMBER 22, 2019 – Bailey’s foster says she is settling in nicely. Bailey loves belly rubs and occasionally enjoys playing with her squeaky toy.

NOVEMBER 15, 2019. Meet Bailey:  Her owner first contacted us back in May when she had a surgery scheduled. She knew that during the recovery period her mobility would be severely limited but was able to find someone to walk Bailey during her rehabilitation period. Unfortunately, she is still experiencing issues and is no longer able to give Bailey the care and exercise she requires. Bailey, who turned 5 in August, is good with cats. She has not been around children at all. Poor Bailey has been attacked by unleashed dogs on more than one occasion so she is leash reactive, exhibiting a fear based aggression towards other dogs, while out walking. We will be getting to know Bailey, making sure all her health needs are met and working with her on any behavioral issues. Welcome to SECR!
