Lebowski

3.5 yr old ~ Male ~ Adopted by Fosters

UPDATED MARCH 9, 2020:

Lebowski

When Lebowski first came to SECR he had anxiety issues due to a bad run-in with another dog who attacked him. Since then, his foster family has worked with him on training and socialization to get him more comfortable around other dogs, and he’s made great strides! Lebowski is a happy, friendly, boy who has made new doggy friends and loves his humans more than anything, and today we’re happy to announce that he’s reached a new status – ADOPTED!

Lebowski has been officially adopted by his fosters and is so excited about the accomplishment he’s been telling everyone to just start calling him “The Dude.”

Congratulations, Lebowski! We wish you and your family a long and happy forever filled with lots of adventures and awesome bandanas!

PREVIOUS UPDATES:

We’ve had dogs from all walks of life, but this boy is a first for us – he has actually walked the Appalachian trail! Lebowski spent 8 months of adventure in the wild with his previous owners, exploring in snow, wind, sun and rain.

This dog has an indomitable spirit coupled with the need for human company and time in your lap! Attacked by a strange dog when he was 1.5 years old, Lebowski has anxiety and fear based reactions that cause unpredictability in his behavior. This has increased and made it difficult for him to coexist with the other dog in his home.

He was surrendered to rescue so that we would be able to assess, work with him and find him a home where he would be the only dog. We will continue to update as he settles into his new foster home. Welcome, Lebowski!
