4-year-old male, adopted by fosters
December 31, 2020: Obi has been adopted!
Ending 2020 on a high note, SECR is excited to announce that another one of our Jedis is joining a new master class. Adopted, Obi has been. Celebrate, we will!
Obi came to rescue earlier this year as an owner surrender do to his unpredictable behavior around young children, and he had his work cut out for him. Lucky for Obi, though, and for us, he had two very devoted foster parents who put in all the work it took to get him the training he needed to get on track. When you work together like this, you can form an inseparable bond and that’s exactly what happened. Obi’s fosters wanted to make it forever, and Obi certainly wasn’t putting up a fight. This little Jedi was home to stay.
Congratulations, Obi and family. As we kick off a new and better 2021, we wish you the happiest forever together!

February 25, 2020: Welcome Obi to SECR!
A new Corgi has arrived! Please join us in giving a warm SECR welcome to our newest red head, Obi!
Obi comes to us as an owner surrender due to aggression toward other dogs and unpredictable behavior around young children. We’ll be working with Obi on training and his leash reactivity and will post more as we learn more about him. For now, though, we are happy to report that he had a good first vet check and is settling in nicely as the only dog in his foster home. He’s already enjoying some couch time with his new Mom and Dad, too!
