Morris

6 years old, adopted by foster

November 23, 2022: Congratulations, Morris!

Corgis that get to romp in the leaves in the Fall are happy corgis. So are corgis that just received the good news that they’ve been adopted. Our lucky boy Morris (aka Mo) is celebrating both today!

Mo joined the SECR family in April as an owner surrender after having difficulty sharing space with other dogs in his household. Like many corgis he needed a family in which he could be the one and only pup, and we were able to match him with a foster that could provide just that. Finally in an environment where he could thrive, Mo has spent the last several months working on health and fitness (he was overweight when he came into rescue), making strides on his training and socialization, and sharing his beautiful smile and love for his favorite ball with everyone he meets. He’ll be showing those pearly whites a whole lot more now, too, because his favorite people have just become his forever family. Mo has officially been adopted by his foster!

Congratulations, Mo! May you always smile as bright as you are in this photo.

April 18, 2022: Welcome Morris!

We’re starting off the new week with a new corgi! Please help us give a warm SECR welcome to Morris!

Morris (aka Mo) comes to us as an owner surrender due to having difficulty getting along with other dogs in the home. He’ll be with us as the only dog in his foster home as we work with him on his training and socialization needs. Mo is a bit overweight so we’ll also be focusing on getting him on a healthy diet and exercise plan. We haven’t known him long, but Mo has already shown us that he’s a sweet boy who loves to smile, sploot, and play with his ball. We look forward to working with him as the king of his castle.

Welcome to the family, Mo!
