4 years old, adopted by fosters

June 20, 2022: Congratulations, Piper!

It’s a new week, and we’re celebrating with a new adoption. Please put your paws together for Piper!

Piper joined the SECR family at the beginning of May as an owner surrender, needing to be in an only-dog home due to fights with others in her previous household. She settled in quickly, got the healthcare she needed to take care of a recurring cough, and learned her favorite place to be is wherever her foster parents are. Lucky for her that’s exactly where she’ll get to be from now until forever. Piper has been officially adopted by her foster parents!

Congratulations, Piper and family. We’re so glad we could bring you together and wish you many happy years ahead!

May 9, 2022: Welcome Piper!

In rescue a new week usually means the arrival of a new corgi, and we’re staying on trend. Please put your paws together for Piper!

Piper is four years old and joins us as an owner surrender due to not getting along with the other dog in her household. She’ll be in foster with us as the only dog, reigning as queen of her castle. In addition to working on Piper’s potty training and other training and socialization needs, getting her caught up on routine healthcare is at the top of our to-do list. She’s also had a recurring cough that we’ll have our vets check out this week.

We’ll share updates about Piper as she settles in to her new digs and tells us more about herself, but in the meantime we’re happy to see that she’s already had fun exploring her new home and yard and proudly serving as her foster parents’ shadow.

Welcome to the SECR family, Piper!
