Ruthie

11-12 years old, adopted by foster

April 1, 2022: Congratulations, Ruthie!

It may be April Fools Day, but our Golden Girl Ruthie has good news to share that’s no joke! She’s officially graduated from SECR foster to adoptee!

Ruthie joined our family back in October 2020 after her original owners moved and no longer had the time or space for a senior girl. Since she’s been with us her foster has worked dilligently with Ruthie to help her battle her separation anxiety, allergies, and some joint pain and stiffness. She’s where she needs to be physically now, and is mentally and socially thriving as the queen of her castle in an only-dog home. After all this time it’s no surprise that Ruthie and her foster Mom formed a bond that neither of them want to break. Lucky for them – and for us – they don’t have to because Ruthie is there to stay! She’s officially been adopted by her foster Mom.

Congratulations, sweet girl. We’re so proud of how far you’ve come and that we were able to bring you and your Mom together!

October 8, 2020: Welcome Ruthie to SECR!

We have a new Golden Girl in the house! Please say hello to Ruthie!

Ruthie was surrendered to us because her former owners recently moved and they no longer have the time and space to give Ruthie the attention she needs. We’ll be taking her to the vet for a checkup and dental soon, but in the meantime she’s settling in to her foster home and loves having a new human that dotes on her. According to Ruthie’s foster Mom, she’s a happy busybody!

Stay tuned for updates on Ruthie as we learn more about her.
