Wilson

3 years old, adopted by foster

September 1, 2023: Congratulations, Wilson!

We’re starting the new month off on the right paw, celebrating our boy Wilson! He’s happy to share that he’s officially been adopted by his foster family.

Wilson came to SECR back in March when his original owner was experiencing health issues that made to too difficult to provide the care this corgi needed. The decision was a difficult one to make but we – and Wilson’s new foster family – was happy to help in a time of need. We got down to business right away and Wilson quickly caught on to training and began thriving as the happy corgi he was always meant to be.

His beautiful eyes, bright smile, and peppy demeanor pulled at his foster family’s heart strings, too, so it’s no surprise that Wilson is a keeper. Congratulations to the officially expanded family. We wish you many happy years together filled with corgi sploots and zoomies!

March 10, 2023: Welcome, Wilson!

The SECR family is growing again! Say hello to Wilson.

Wilson joins us as an owner surrender. His previous owner is currently experiencing health issues that make it to difficult to devote the time and attention needed to care for a young dog. These kinds of decisions are so difficult to make, and we’re glad rescues like ours can step in to provide support at such a critical time of need. We’re so happy to have Wilson with us and look forward to giving him everything he needs to thrive.

We haven’t had Wilson with us for very long, but in the short time we’ve known him he’s shown us that he’s a playful and loving boy who loves to romp in the yard, light up a room with his smile, and soak in all the attention he can get from his humans and foster siblings. He spent a lot of time outside recently, so Wilson needs some time to get reacquainted with being an indoor dog again. He doesn’t do well with small animals – rabbits (and likely cats) are off limits – and will need some work on potty and other basic training. But, we’re confident that we’ll get him where he needs to be, and so far he seems pretty happy to have our help! Stay tuned for more updates.

**Wilson is new to rescue and not available for adoption at this time.
