Wyatt

1 year, adopted

December 11, 2023: Congratulations, Wyatt!

A Monday that you can spend celebrating adoption is always going to be a good Monday. Please put your paws together for Wyatt, who has officially joined his forever family! Wyatt came to SECR over the summer a bit down on his luck. In less than one full year of life, he’d experienced abuse from previous “trainers” and fought his way through a rough case of pneumonia, and was searching for a family that could give him a fresh start and coach him on all the ways of being a dog. We found that foster family for him, and Wyatt’s luck quickly turned around. He got healthy, made good progress on socialization and training, and, most recently, sailed through his trial adoption with a new corgi brother, Darwin.

Congratulations, Wyatt and family! We’re so happy to have brought you together and know you’ll be in your permanent home for the holidays.

August 7, 2023: Welcome Wyatt!

Please join us in welcoming Wyatt to the SECR family.

Wyatt is a young corgi who got a rough start on life, battling an early bout of pneumonia and abuse from previous so-called “trainers.” We’re glad to have him in our care now, and on the road to the good, happy corgi life he deserves.

Now recovered from pneumonia, we’ve gotten Wyatt caught up on routine health care and vaccines, and he’s just recently been neutered. Now, his foster family – including a corgi foster sibling – are focusing on teaching him what all young corgis need to know: how to be a dog. He’s making good progress on socialization and training already and we know that with a lot of diligence this sweet boy will be the best corgi he can be.

Welcome to the family, Wyatt!
