February 25, 2024: Buckey is ready for his forever home!

Buckey is excited to share that he’s ready for adoption! He has a dental coming up on March 8, but as soon as he’s had his cleaning he and his pearly whites will be set to start their forever. **All applicants must be 21 or older and live within the Carolinas or Georgia. Submitting an adoption application is the first step in the process to adopt ANY SECR rescue dog. SECR’s primary commitment is to the rescue dogs in our care, and it is our mission to find the right home for every dog, not the right dog for every home. Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis to find the best fit for each available rescue dog, and our admin team will follow up with qualified applicants after applications are fully processed.

January 21, 2024: Welcome, Buckey!

Please join us in welcoming another SECR newbie to the pack – Buckey!

Buckey joins us as an owner surrender due to anxiety around young children in the household. He’s a distinguished older gentleman that thrives as an only dog in a child-free home and we’re happy to have found the ideal foster placement that provides just what Buckey needs.

Buckey will be visiting the vet soon to get caught up on vaccines and a manicure. In the meantime he’s happily settling in to his new home and has already accompanied Foster Mom to work. Sometimes hoomans need supervision and Buckey is happy to do his part!
