**All applicants must be 21 or older and live within the Carolinas or Georgia. Submitting an adoption application is the first step in the process to adopt ANY SECR rescue dog. SECR’s primary commitment is to the rescue dogs in our care, and it is our mission to find the right home for every dog, not the right dog for every home. Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis to find the best fit for each available rescue dog, and our admin team will follow up with qualified applicants after applications are fully processed.
July 1, 2024: Welcome, Bonnie!
It’s a new month, and SECR is celebrating by welcoming a new family member! Say hello to Bonnie.
This cutie is one of three former breeding dogs we took into rescue over the weekend via a rural shelter. Bonnie doesn’t know much beyond the breeding life, so in addition to getting her caught up on routine vet care, treatment for a UTI, and a spay as soon as possible, her foster family will be working with her on the basics: potty training, leash walking, and simply adjusting to life at home as a family pet.
Stay tuned for updates about Bonnie as we learn more about her. She is new to rescue and not yet ready for adoption.
