**All applicants must be 21 or older and live within the Carolinas or Georgia. Submitting an adoption application is the first step in the process to adopt ANY SECR rescue dog. SECR’s primary commitment is to the rescue dogs in our care, and it is our mission to find the right home for every dog, not the right dog for every home.
Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis to find the best fit for each available rescue dog, and our admin team will follow up with qualified applicants after applications are fully processed.
July 1, 2024: Welcome, Monty!
Kicking off July as newbie #3 of 3 is Monty!
Monty joined his friends Bonnie and Reba on the road to rescue this weekend via a rural shelter. He too will be visiting our vets soon to get caught up on all his routine veterinary care and a neuter, and in the meantime will be settling into his new and happy life beyond breeding. Monty will also be working with his foster family on the basics: potty training, leash walking, and simply adjusting to life at home as a family pet.
Stay tuned for updates about Monty as we learn more about him. He is new to rescue and not yet ready for adoption.
