4-year-old, Available for adoption
Soran is now ready for his forever home! While his ‘siblings’ Ravi, Marisol, and Clover are now adopted, it took this little guy a little longer to be ready for adoption, and we gave him all the time he needed!
Soran is a 4-year-old, 27-pound corgi who is still learning just how good life can be. He came to rescue from a backyard breeder, and many everyday experiences were new to him at first. He can be shy with unfamiliar people and busy situations, but he has made wonderful progress and becomes affectionate, easygoing, and very sweet once he feels safe.
A friendly, confident canine companion is especially important for Soran. He misses having other dogs around and would benefit from a dog sibling who can help show him the ropes. He has done well meeting both male and female dogs.
He is house-trained, crate-trained, walks nicely on a leash, knows basic commands, and has completed a beginner training class. He also enjoys car rides now that he has learned to relax during longer trips.
Soran loves morning walks, running errands with his person, finding sticks in the yard, chasing tennis balls, and taking very enthusiastic naps. He is still figuring out the finer points of playing with toys and has not fully embraced the โreturnโ part of fetch.
Soran is still a little mouthy when he gets excited and may nip at hands or lower legs like an overgrown puppy, but he is improving. He needs patient adopters who will continue helping him learn appropriate manners and give him time to adjust without rushing him.
He would do best in a relatively calm home with a patient family, a compatible dog companion, and people who understand that trust may take a little time. In return, they will get a loving, funny, increasingly confident dog who is eager to be part of the family.
